Transform your everyday with Alchemy by Fusion

Created by the team behind Fusion Mineral Paint, Alchemy is a unique chalk style paint for furniture painters and DIY enthusiasts.

Unlike traditional chalk paints Alchemy uses Fusions tried and tested acrylic resin to give exceptional durability whilst maintaining a beautifully flat and velvety finish.

24 pigment rich colours in two sizes, 120ml and 500ml that work perfectly as a vibrant statement colour or come alive when blended, layered or distressed for custom looks.

Prep for Alchemy

Most of the time all you require is to give your project a good clean (we recommend Fusions TSP alternative ) and allow to dry before painting.

If you have a glossy or non porous surface, then a quick scuff sand and a coat of Fusions Ultra Grip will ensure a perfect base for your paint. On tannin heavy wood a stain blocking primer (we use and recommend Blockade primer) will prevent discolouring, especially when using lighter colours.

Top Coats and Finishing

The chalky finish of Alchemy is extremely durable and can be left in its raw state but will show signs of use over time, to prevent this then adding a top coat will keep your project looking perfect. For outside projects always seal with a top coat.

Suitable products can be waxes, oils or varnishes in clear, or coloured to create further depth to your piece.

We keep the whole Alchemy range in stock here at Jolie Maison and are happy to give advice on choosing colours, preparation and finishing, just drop us a message or give us a call. If you are local to us then why not pop in and try the paint for yourself , or treat yourself to one of our workshop experiences.
