Warehouse Rack
1910 Victorian metal frame warehouse racking.
Sourced from a derelict brickworks outside Hull. The works had been producing bricks for over two hundred years, although it sadly stopped production in the 1970’s. The yard was left untouched for over 50 years, Fortunately, the original maintenance shed had been sealed up and was untouched. The shed housed an extraordinary batch of industrial pigeon hole storage units that were used to house the spare parts for the steam engine that powered the site. This is one of the few metal racks that we salvaged, a heavy eight steel frame with six original numbered wooden pigeon hole racks that slot into place.
It was steam cleaned and jet washed so that they are clean and practical to use, but retain their original scars and patina.
Shelves are removable. The steel frame is extremely heavy and robust. Pigeon hole dividers are as shown and are fixed and not removable.
Size 109cm (w) x 68cm (l) x 198cm (h).
This item is extremely heavy ! Collection only from our Cirencester showroom or free local delivery within 15 miles.
